More detail on this person: Richard Robert Hatton Jr. "Dick", Lt. Col. US Army Reserves Retired. Dick, age 75, was born October 25, 1931 in Ithaca, NY. He passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in an Albuquerque Hospital. Dick honorably served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army reserve as a Helicopter Pilot in the Transportation Corp., which included two tours in Vietnam. He retired in 1974 with the rank of Lt. Col. As a civilian, he worked and retired from both Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth, TX and Honeywell in Albuquerque, NM. Dick graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls, NY, Niagara University with a BS in Economics and University of Southern California with a MS in Aerospace Management. In retirement, Dick was an active member of his church, Church of the Risen Savior, as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher. Dick was also active with 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus and gladly gave his time and services to help others at Kirtland AFB and AARP. Dick was preceded in death by parents, Ruth and Richard Sr. Hatton. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane; children, Patty Meyer and husband, Vince, Robert Hatton and wife, Cindy, Karen Adams and husband, James, Kevin Hatton and girlfriend, Kelly, Kim and husband, Phil; nine grandchildren; brothers, Peter Hatton and wife Eliza, Michael Hatton and wife, Debbie; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 2625 Pennsylvania NE #225, Albuquerque, NM, 87110 - (888) 342-2383, and/or to the National Kidney Foundation Serving New Mexico, 3167 San Mateo NE #162, Albuquerque, NM. 87110 - (800) 282-0190.
