More detail on this person: Col. Ansley HORTON HORTON, Col. Ansley Col. Ansley Horton, U. S. Marines retired, of Sharpsburg, died December 16th 2008. Col Horton retired from the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot having served in Vietnam. He also retired from Delta Air lines as a pilot instructor. He is survived by his wife, Sadie Horton of Sharpsburg; children, Scott and Linda Horton of Sandestin, FL; Kevin and Pam Horton of Colorado Springs, Co.; Tim and Michelle Bowen of Birmingham, AL.; Lueree Horton of Newnan, Ga.; Mark and Amalia Bryant of Pensacola, Fl.; 7 Grandchildren; Mother, Mrs. Leila Horton of Loudon, Tn.; sister, Bobbie and Ed Nicholson of Sweetwater, Tn.; Brother David and Georgia Horton of Hiram, Ga.; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Heritage Christian Church with Minister Greg Marksberry officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the church. Graveside services will be held Friday December 19, 2008 at Barrancas National Cemetery (Pensacola) at 1:15 PM with full military honors.
