Col. with the U.S. Army 87th Division in Birmingham, AL. He attended Jefferson State Junior College and Texas A & M University. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hayden of Birmingham; sons, Micky Hayden & Angela of Tuscaloosa and Daniel Hayden & Christy of Tuscaloosa; step-sons, Charles A. Kinne of Birmingham and William M. Kinne of Birmingham; mother & step-father, Vera Clouse & Gerald of Jasper; brothers, Raymond Hayden & Mary Ruth of Birmingham and Bill Hayden & Donna of Jasper; sister, Barbara Bonham & Michael of Florence, AL.; grandchildren, Ashley Hayden, Heather Hayden, Joshua Hayden of Tuscaloosa; daughter-in-law, Lisa Marie Hayden of Phoenix, Arz.; step-brother, Kim A. Clouse & Lisa of Jasper; step grandchildren, Chad & Kaitlyn Kinne of Paducah, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, John S. Hayden, Jr. and son, John Brandon Hayden. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 3, 2001 at 1 PM at Kilgore-Green Chapel with Michael Bonham officiating. Burial in Walker Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday at 6:00 PM. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing.
