More detail on this person: Roy J. Hall Jerry TX United States ROY J. (JERRY) HALL was born on February 4, 1947and gave up his courageous battle with cancer on October 15, 2005 at home with family. He was a loyal and dependable friend, proven in life as well as death. As he departed this world, his special needs friend, Wayne Perdue joined him within minutes on his journey to heaven. Known to friends and co-workers as Papa and Big Papa, Jerry cared and welcomed Big Papa into his heart and family. Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Hall, son, Jerrel R Hall, and father-in-law, Jimmy Coats. He is survived by his wife, Teri Coats Hall; mother, OV Hall; daughters, Joelle Jones and husband Whitney, Jaycee McKinzie and husband, Steve; son, Jeremy Griffin and wife, Lisa, six grandchildren, Savannah, Whitney Jr, and Sidney Jones, Jerrel and Hannah Griffin and Thomas Hall; sisters, Barbara Herrmann and husband Robert, Wanda McPhaden and husband Gordon; mother-in-law, Mary Coats and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. As a proud Veteran, serving in the US Army during the Vietnam war, Captain Hall flew search and rescue helicopters for which he was awarded numerous medals of honor. Following his tour in Vietnam he continued serving his country by flying IPS and check flights in Washington and Virginia. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, from 6-8 pm, followed by a memorial service on Wednesday, October 19 at 2 PM at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball followed by interment at Klein Memorial Park. The family request memorials be directed to the Tomball Cancer Center.
