More detail on this person: William W. Huffman Sr. William W. Huffman Sr., age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at the Montfort-Jones Hospital, in Kosciusko. Mr. Huffman was born October 22, 1943, in Chickasaw County to the late Maudie Belle Smitherman and Walter Evans Huffman. He was a history teacher at New Hope Middle School and a member of Hwy. 69 Church of Christ in Columbus. Mr. Huffman was a retired United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr. Huffman married Virginia Carol Garrett Huffman on July 17, 1979, in West Point. Funeral services are Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 3 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Brian Atkins officiating. Military Burial Honors will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Una. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Garrett Huffman of Columbus; four daughters:Pamela Lynn Richter of Oxford, Ala., Terri Alane Dobbs of Houston, Jennifer Carol Williamson of Cumberland, Christine Michelle Douglas of Columbus; four sons:William Huffman Jr. of Anniston, Ala., Jason Andrew Huffman of Columbus, Billy Gallmeyer and John Gallmeyer both of Albuquerque, N. M.; 18 grandchildren; two great grandchildren:Keely Harper Wright and Aidan Scott Freeman; one brother, Earl Hufman (Joyce) of West Point. He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Denise Huffman. Pallbearers are William Walter Huffman Jr., Jason Andrew Huffman, Michael Williamson, Edward Richter, Joseph Huss, and Danny Kelley. Visitation is Friday, from 5 -8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
