More detail on this person: John Havens passed away Sunday evening after a valiant battle with adrenal cancer. He touched many lives with his vivacious spirit and quirky sense of humor.

John was born in Glendale, CA, graduated from Campbell High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, CA. After proudly serving his country as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, he spent the next 15 years working in the family business, A.G. Pond Co, selling welding and industrial equipment. When the company sold to Air Gas in 1992, he and his wife, Sandra, started a manufacture rep business marketing wireless data communication devices to OEM's. John enjoyed cooking, traveling, golfing, and skiing. He was also a member of the Saint Claire Club in San Jose and La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Darling Fisher Funeral Home in Los Gatos, CA. and a funeral service at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 13601 Saratoga Ave. in Saratoga, CA at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
