More detail on this person: Lieutenant Colonel Hunter Garner Harbison, 85 MEMPHIS AREA DEATHS THROUGH TUESDAY, DEC. 25 Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - Wednesday, December 26, 2001 LT. COL. HUNTER GARNER HARBISON, 85, of Memphis, retired from the Army and founder/owner/operator of Memphis Alarm Co., died Monday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McLemore Christian Church, where he was a member, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Forest Hill Funeral Home East has charge. He was a member of Disciples of Christ, a World War II and Vietnam War veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Cross and Air Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster. Lt. Col. Harbison, the husband of Anita Choate Harbison for 52 years, also leaves two daughters, Nancy Harbison and Jayne Harbison, both of Memphis; two sons, Hunter L. Harbison of Memphis and Dr. Richard G. Harbison of Colorado Springs, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that memorials be sent to McLemore Christian Church.
