Capt. Harry Talmadge Holloway, 66, of Columbus died Friday at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, Feb. 23 at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with Rev. Carl Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends this afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Capt. Holloway was born April 28, 1937 in Columbus son of Harry T. and Josephine J. Holloway. He was a U.S. Army veteran of 22 years serving in Vietnam and retired from civil service after 19 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Redeemer, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Dixie Seniors Golf Association, American Legion, a Volunteer for the Columbus Sports Counsel and a Marshall at Bull Creek Golf Course. Survivors include his wife, Janice B. Holloway of Columbus; son, Harry T. Holloway and daughter-in-law, Shari of Apex, N.C.; daughter, Robbin Grantham and son-in-law, Gregory of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters, JoAnn Lupo of Lexington, N.C., and Linda Holloway of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four brothers, Jimmie Holloway of Perry, Fla., James Holloway of Sailsbury, N.C., Joseph Holloway of West Palm Beach, and Harold Holloway of Hamilton, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Seth and Reid Holloway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 4700 Armour Road, Columbus, GA 31904 or your favorite charity.
