More detail on this person: Malcolm T. Hornsby, Jr Services for Retired Lt. Col. Malcolm T. Hornsby Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with Dr. Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville. Hornsby, 56, of Spring, Texas, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday in Northwestern Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a pilot, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Alexandria Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a native of Alexandria. Survivors include his wife, Betty Schifflett Hornsby of Covington, Va.; two sons, M.T. Hornsby III and Greg S. Hornsby, both of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Frances Arivil of Metairie and Mrs. Charles Tosten of Alexandria; his mother, Willie Hornsby of Alexandria; and one grandchild. Friends may call fromm 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Monday in the funeral home.
