More detail on this person: Ross Faith Hutchison, 81, of Arlington, passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly, on February 27, 2018. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. April 11, there will be a memorial graveside service at the DFW National Cemetery, officiated by Ross's Aggie roommate and long time friend, Fred Cole of Harlingen. Ross was born October 20, 1936, to Leonard and Edith Hutchison in Wichita Falls. Ross had Faith in God and prayed often. He had attended First Church Nazarene, First Baptist Church and, United Methodist Churches. He was a dedicated Aggie, having graduated from Texas A&M in 1959. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He followed in his father's footsteps for a while, who owned a grocery and barbecue catering business in Irving, but went on his own to become a successful salesman for Gifford-Hill Concrete Pipe Company for many years. In later years he was a manager for Sam's and Wal-Mart Stores. Ross was a master gardener who loved making flowers and plants beautiful, enjoying working in the yard of a friend until a few weeks before his death. He was a good cook and griller, once attending Cordon Bleu Cooking School for six months. Ross loved to dance. He was a regular, twice a week at Eunice Street Senior Center, where live country western bands played for over a 100 friends he danced with for 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and wife, Janette. SURVIVORS: He is survived by one son, Chris Hutchison and wife Melissa; grandson, Jack, of Kountze; sisters-in-law, Sarah Hutchison, Keller, and Carol Hutchison, Hurst; friends, Carol Bennett of Arlington, Fred and Martha Cole of Harlingen, his WPS friends (Widowed Persons Services of Tarrant County) in Arlington and Burleson; and classmates from Wichita Falls.
