More detail on this person: HAIR III, CHARLES W. "BUZZ" A civil engineer and president of Louis J. Capozzoli & Associates Inc., he died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, near Lutcher. He was 53, a native of Houston and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He served his country for 30 years, first in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, then as an active reserve colonel with the 412th Engineer Command. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral home from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Religious services at University Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Nelwyn Hill Hair; four children, Charles Edgar, Bryan William, Adelaide Evelyn and Sallyanne Elise; father, Charles W. Hair Jr.; stepmother, Lucile L. Hair; two sisters, Patricia Woods and Suzanne Schuwerk, both of Houston; and a brother, John D. Hair, Tulsa, Okla. Preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Deering Hair. He was a member of University Presbyterian Church. He wasa 1965 graduate of Baton Rouge High School and a graduate of LSU and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a member of Capital City Kiwanis, American Society of Civil Engineers and Louisiana Engineering Society. He was a leader in the Louisiana engineering community, working in the area of geotechnical engineering. His expertise in pipeline construction was applied to projects throughout the world and he particularly enjoyed his work in Russia.
