Billy H. Hook and 1st Lt. Robert R. Rankin. Hook, the unit CO, is survived in the command by his wife, Cheryl. Rankin is survived by his wife, Sandra, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Rankin, of Carmichael, Pa. 06 DEC 73 MAJ Billy H. Hook [P] 1LT Robert R. Rankin [OB] Germany 73 MI OV-1D #69-17013 A/C exploded and crashed in a field near Huckelheim at approx 1800 hours during a training flight near Aschaffenburg.
