More detail on this person: Gary Ronald Hopson HOPSON Gary Ronald, age 49, of OKC, formerly of Maysville, died Sat., Sept. 18, 1993, near Watonga, Ok. of injuries received in a truck wreck. He was born Sept. 26, 1943 at Pauls Valley, Ok. and grew up in Maysville, graduating from high school there in 1961, and from Panhandle State University in 1966 with a BS degree in business administration. He served in the US Army in Viet Nam where he was a Captain and a helicoptor pilot. He received the Bronze Star Medal, US Army National Defense Service Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Viet Nam Service Medal, Air Medal and Viet Nam Campaign with Device 60. At the time of his death, he worked for Morris Casing Co., and had been a drilling supt. for Phillips Oil Co. for 12 years. Member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Hopson is survived by a son, Ronny Hopson, OKC; daughter, Wendy Hopson, Norman, Ok.; father, Virgil Hopson, Lexington, OK.; brother, Danny Hopson, Norman; sister, Darlene Herring, Pauls Valley. Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Hopson. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Little's Funeral Chapel, Rev. Wayne Thompson officiating. Interment Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Krohmer, Coy McKenzie, Terry Drum, Alon Willis, Ron Black and Mike Whitsett. Honorary bearer Wayne Odom. Arrangements by Little's Funeral Home, Purcell.
