More detail on this person: I am Dr.Ingham's daughter. I just wanted to let you know I was
surprised to find him on the web. He was an unusually decorated soldier having won the bonze star
multiple times as well as the silver star multiple times and the distinguished service cross.
There are multiple other medals but I am not exactly up on those things despite being an Army brat.
He was in the Navy where he became a fighter pilot, then the Marines where he became a helicopter
pilot finally joining the Army where he went to Vietnam and back before Americans were even
officially in Vietnam. He was brought back from Vietnam in 67 to be Hubert Humphery's pilot. After
the election was lost he was sent to run Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah while being the head of the
ROTC program at the University of Utah and getting his Ph.D in Psychology. After practicing
Psychology in the Army for a few years, he retired after 30 years in the military. He went into
private practice in the State of Washington often working with Veterans. He retired after 20+ years
as a compassionate psychotherapist. After all that to his name his greatest avcheivement was being
an incredible father who would have literally given his life for me no matter what. It was often
commented he was the smartest man people knew. He is missed beyond belief even after a few years.
His absence leaves an unfillable void. But the life he led leaves a lot to be admired. Sorry for
the long-winded story but I thought he was so much more than a footnote to history. This information was last updated 05/18/2016
