More detail on this person: Robert (Bob) Johnson of Plant City, Florida passed away December 1, 2022 at the James A. Haley VA Hospital Hospice facility, with a co-pilot (a member of VHPA) and a Crew Chief (a member of the VHCMA) by his side. Bob was a co-founder of the Florida chapter (VHPAF). After his service in the Army, Bob was a salesman and demo pilot for Hughes Aircraft, covering the southeastern U.S. After moving to Florida, Bob was a corporate pilot, flying a Hughes 500 D model. In his later years, Bob was "always a phone call away" and quick to show up with a truck full of tools to anyone who needed help.
