More detail on this person: Charles F. Johnson, 67, of Acworth, GA went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and honorably served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and in the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Johnson was a proud member of the Georgian Vietnam Veterans Association, the National Rifle Association, the Army Aviation Association of America, and the American Legion. He also volunteered teaching youth rifle safety and use through the NRA. He was a loyal friend and loved his family very much. He will be missed more than words can express. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carrie Johnson, Acworth, GA and their 3 children with their families: Eric and Karen Johnson, granddaughter Lisa - Acworth, GA; Rose and Ryan Bloodworthh, grandchildren Savannah and Michael - Marietta, GA; and Carla and Jaames Parker, grandson Luke - Colorado Springs, CO. The family will receiive friends on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00. Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mike Stephens officiating.
