More detail on this person: William Dennis Jordan, 71 of Bolivar, Missouri William Dennis Jordan Hillsdale Daily News, The (MI) - Friday, January 20, 2012 BOLIVAR, Mo. - William Dennis Jordan, 71, of Dunnegan, Mo. died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar, Mo. He was born in Mobile, Ala., raised in Jonesville, the son of Earl Hammond and Mary Grace Hammond. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a police officer for 15 years, and most recently, worked as a truck driver for 15 years, prior to his retirement. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Hammond and one brother, Curtis. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Leuty Jordan; one daughter, Theresa (Rip) Cain, of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother, Allan (Beth) Hammond of Macon, Ga.; one sister, Nora (Kevin) Lawrence, of Jonesville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22 at Pitts Chapel, Bolivar with Angel Hovey officiating. Internment is 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo., with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis MO 63131.
