More detail on this person: Wayne Leo Jeppson, 62 of Paulden, Arizona Wayne Leo Jeppson Daily Herald (Provo, UT) - Sunday, February 1, 2004 Wayne Leo Jeppson, 62, passed away at his home in Paulden, Arizona, on January 20, 2004, of heart failure. He was born in Provo, UT, on June 21, 1941, to Louis LeRoy and Annena Faye Hanson Jeppson. He attended Provo schools, and at age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He retired with the rank of CW03. Wayne served with the Military Police for several years before attending Helicopter Pilot School. He served two terms in Vietnam, one as a chopper pilot and one as a fixed wing pilot. He was shot down twice, and earned two Purple Hearts, plus many other medals. After Vietnam, he served as a helicopter pilot instructor until his retirement. Wayne married Bonnie Jean Schofield. They were later divorced. They had two sons, Geoffrey and Gregory, who reside in California. Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Jeppson; a brother, David L. Jeppson; his father, Louis L. Jeppson.
