More detail on this person: Bill Jones was my father - He died on September 25, 1981 from complications related to brain cancer - He was a graduate of The Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel). He spent two tours in Vietnam - 1967-68 w/ Delta Troop, 1st Sqd / 9th Cavalry and then with the 7th/ 17th beginning in 1972 after flight school - he was the XO of C Troop and was shoot down, wounded and sent home. From there he taught at the Armor School in Fort Knox, KY and then to his final station at Fort Bliss as S3 of the 3rd ACR. He was medically discharged as a Major.
