More detail on this person: C.B. Jeanes died April 12, 2019, after a long and distinguish career as a military officer, scientist and educator. Born in McKinney, Texas to Cecil B. Jeanes, Sr. and Mary "Ona" Jeanes, C.B. earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from the University of North Texas and subsequently completed squadron officer and pilot training as well as other specialized schools within the Air Force. During his military career, C.B. was chief or assistant chief of laboratories at Vandenburg AFB and Patrick AFB. He proudly served as a helicopter pilot at bases in Canada, Massachusetts and Utah as well as a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. C.B. began to develop his love for teaching at the USAF Academy in Colorado when he was assigned as an assistant professor and deputy head of the Chemistry Department. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, C.B. continued to pursue his passion for teaching as a lecturer in chemistry at San Antonio College and curriculum coordinator of a training program for Northrop Worldwide Aircraft Services. In 1983, C.B. joined the teaching staff at Texas Military Institute (TMI) where he taught AP and regular chemistry. He became a beloved and favorite teacher to many TMI students throughout the next 22 years before he officially retired. C.B. was married to the love of his life, Inda, for 66 years. He is also survived by his daughter Linda Taylor and husband, Butch; son Paul Jeanes and wife, Annette; and daughter Lori McDonald and husband, Mike; his five grandchildren, Lauren Guest, Carly Hipp, Taylor Gajan and Christian Jeanes; 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Wyatt. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Texas Military Institute (TMI) . The address is 20955 W. Tejas Trail, San Antonio, Texas 78257 Reception to follow.
