More detail on this person: Mr Roy D Jackson, 64 OBITUARIES Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) - Monday, June 20, 1994 FORT WORTH - Roy D. Jackson, a retired Army chief warrant officer and retired employee of Southland Royalty, died Saturday at a Temple hospital. He was 64. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Greenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson was born in Highlands and had lived in Fort Worth since 1968. He retired from the Army in 1968 after 20 years, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, the Air Medal with nine oak leaf clusters, and the National Defense Service medal with an oak leaf cluster. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Retired Officers Association and the Vietnam 145th Aviation Battalion Support Group. He was a Baptist, a deacon in his church and captain of a church bus. Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Jackson of Fort Worth; son, Danny Jackson of Fort Worth; three daughters, Deborah Ladd of Houston, Teresa Upton of Great Falls, Mont., and Brenda Murray of Fort Worth; stepmother, Viola Jackson of Kerrville; four brothers, Billy Jackson of Fort Worth, Wayne Jackson of Livingston, James Jackson of Lendale, and Don Jackson of Houston; sister, Patsy Strong of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
