War Vet Drowns in Rescue Try REKLAW, Tex., (AP) - A U.S. Army helicopter pilot just home from Vietnam drowned Sunday in an Eastern Texas lake in a futile attempt to save his 4-year-old son. Capt. Sidney K. Johnston, 26, holder of the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Army Commendation Medal and the Air Medal with 15 clusters, and his and his father-in-law, Dr. L.D. Myers, dove into the lake when the boy, Sidney M. Johnston, fell out of the fishing boat. Both men became tangled in trout line hooks. Dr. Myers managed to free himself but before he could bring the boat around, both father and son disappeared in 20 feet of water.
