More detail on this person: Kenneth Paul Kinne/1946 - 2005 Kenneth Paul Kinne passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, while visiting his mother in Ridgecrest. He was 58. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m., at the Regency Park Elementary School, 5901 Bridgecross Drive, Sacramento. The family requests donations in his memory to the American Heart Association. Mr. Kinne was born Nov. 10, 1946, in San Diego. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a helicopter pilot. For his valor there, he was awarded the U.S. Army Air Medal, Bronze Star and Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a proud member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots' Association since its inception and enjoyed the camaraderie of his former fellow pilots. Following his Vietnam service, he went back to school at Fresno State College, where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration. In 1976, he was hired by the Rio Linda Union School District as chief financial officer. Over the past 26 years in that position, he was recognized as one of the most competent and knowledgeable school business managers in the Sacramento region. He had just retired from the Rio Linda School District this past January. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his mother, Josephine; his loving wife, Lauri; his daughter, Sara; daughter, Marni Lutes and her husband, Todd, and his precious granddaughter, Emily Lauren Lutes; sister, Anne; and brothers, Mike and Keith.
