More detail on this person: Lt. Col. John (Jack) Foster Koshinsky Jr., (Ret.), died Tuesday, April 17, 2014.

He was born to the late John F. and Helen Koshinsky March 16, 1936, in Halifax, Vt. Jack served 26 years in the National Guard and U.S. Army and was well known as a leader and Commander to his troops. He served two tours in Vietnam as a pilot going into battle areas most would dare to fly recovering fellow soldiers in the line of duty. Jack was awarded numerous awards for his bravery and leadership.

Upon retirement from the Army in 1985 as a lieutenant colonel, Jack worked for Aris helicopters based out of San Jose, Calif. He managed his team and was very influential in the success of the company. He then worked for GE. Jack then founded the Parragon Group, an aviation part and supply business serving not only the U.S. but all over the world. Jack loved people and never thought twice of extending help in any way.

In 2001, Jack and his wife, Barbara, moved from Milpitas, Calif., to Navarre and made it their home. Jack loved living on the water and all the wonderful people he and Barbara met. Jack served as President and Secretary of Navarre Towers for many terms and was well loved by all.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; and four children, John F. Koshinsky III, of San Diego, Calif.; Deborah Renaldi of Middleboro, Mass., Jeff Koshinsky of Greenfield, Mass., and Kevin Koshinsky of Milford, Mass.; and his three step-children, Darlene Cunliffe, Stephanie Bradley and Louise Evilsizer. He is also survived by two sisters, Ginny Kenny and Janice Cutler; two brothers, Butch and David Tompkins; and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jack will have a military burial to honor his service in the United States Army. A life celebration will be held in Vernon, Vt., with his im-mediate family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting everyone take special time out to love each and every member of their family. We love you Dad- you are forever in our hearts!
