More detail on this person: Tim Kolberg passed away on January 25, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona following a short struggle against cancers discovered just months before his death. The family did not post an obituary that I can find, but following Tim's service in Vietnam, he left the US Army and enjoyed a long career piloting helicopters throughout the world, his greatest joy piloting the helicopters seen in many Hollywood movies and television. Tim survived a number of crashes during his 1972 combat tour. He was especially proud of his Vietnam service flying the OH-6 with the C/16th CAV "Outcast" platoon, operating throughout the Mekong Delta from their Cantho base, and his wartime friendships lasted throughout his life. CW2 Kolberg has requested no burial marker, but instead have his ashes spread across the sky, as he found his greatest joy flying.
