More detail on this person: John E. Kilgallen U.S. Army lieutenant colonel FAIRFAX, Va. - John E. Kilgallen, 67, of Fairfax, Va., died May 30 at his home. He was the husband of Betty (Browne) Kilgallen, formerly of York. A Funeral Liturgy was held at The Old Chapel in Fort Myer, Va. Burial was in Arlington National Cemetery. The Eberly Funeral Home, Main St., Fairfax, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kilgallen was a lieutenant colonel, retiring from the U.S. Army. He was a 1949 graduate of the former St. Francis Prep School in Spring Grove and a 1953 graduate of St. Francis College in Loretto. Mr. Kilgallen also is survived by three sons, Kevin Kilgallen of Hummelstown, Daniel Kilgallen and Michael Kilgallen, both of Fairfax; a daughter, Marybeth Chamberlain of Fairfax; and seven grandchildren.
