More detail on this person: Ray D. Kinnard II was promoted to heaven on December 25, 2018 at age 76. He attended The University of Tulsa where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He graduated in 1965 with a B.S. in biology. Ray served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968 as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He was a helicopter rescue pilot and Company Commander for the 537th Air Medavac Detachment, 1st Calvary Division. He earned a Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces. His other combat awards include Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal, and a Republic of Vietnam Medal. After his service in the U.S. Army, Ray joined Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. where he worked for forty-two years as a Senior Vice President. Ray was known for being ethical, straight forward, and for always having his clients' best interest at heart. Beyond his career, Ray was a loyal Broncos fan since 1976. He enjoyed golf and was a member at Cherry Hills Country Club since 1988. Ray believed in supporting the police force, served as a member of The Hundred Club of Denver, and was a member of the Denver Gyro.
