More detail on this person: Bob grew up in Everett, PA. He attended high school in Framingham, MA, and then attended Framingham Teachers College before joining the US Army to become a helicopter pilot. After graduating from flight school class 68-7, Bob was assigned to the 191st Assault Helicopter Company in Bearcat, Vietnam.

While serving in Vietnam, Bob was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal (with numeral 53). He spent three years on active duty and an additional 13 years with the District of Columbia Army National Guard. When he left military service in 1990, he had attained the rank of CW3 and was a Senior Army Aviator.

After active duty, Bob continued to work as a dedicated Federal government employee with the General Services Administration. He worked in Washington, DC, as a Transportation Operations Specialist for 39 years and recently retired in February, 2009.

Bob leaves behind his wife Margaret, his son, Matthew, and his daughter Megan.
