Klinck, 66, of Denton, died at Denton Regional
Hospital on Wednesday, Feb 5, 2014. Visitation
and service will be held at First United Methodist
Church in Denton on Monday, Feb 10 at 4-6 pm.
The family requests a private graveside service
that will be held at DFW National Cemetery on
Tuesday.
He was born in Jackson, MS on Feb 23, 1947 to
Charles Edgar Klinck and Mary Louise Winslow
Klinck. He graduated from Provine High School in
Jackson, MS and MS State University where he
was member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, achieved
Second Lieutenant in the Army ROTC and received
a BA degree. Later, he obtained a MBA degree from
Troy State University. He served as a pilot in the
Army Helicopter Aviation and in Intelligence
during active duty in the Vietnam Era. After an
honorable discharge as Captain in military
service, he made a career in the Human Resources
field, including 15 years as Director of Human
Resources for the City of Denton. Thomas was an
Eagle Scout, completed three marathons and was
an avid sailor.
Survivors include daughter, Kara Lynn Vega (Jairo)
of Richmond, VA; sons Thomas Christopher Klinck
(Amanda) of Grenada, MS, Charles Ryan Klinck of
Denton, TX, and George Michael Klinck, of Denton,
TX; six grandchildren: Alexia Sheri Axelsen,
Elizabeth Grace Axelsen, Thomas Ethan Klinck,
Andrew Christopher Klinck, Mary Grace Klinck, and
Anabela Lynn Vega; and two brothers and two
sisters, Lynda Sue Pritchard (Charles), Charles
Richard Klinck (Heather), Claude Eugene Klinck
(Jane), Christi Rene Peters, and Sailor Jon, his
beloved Labrador Retriever.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his
honor to the First United Methodist Church, 201
South Locust St., Denton TX 76201 or the mission
organization Proyecto Abrigo, P.O. Box 17838, El
Paso, TX 79917.
