Kinder, (Ltc U.S. Army Retired), 72, formerly of Granger, passed away January 25, 2003 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Granger HS, attended Central Washington Univ., and graduated from St. Benedicts College in Atchison, KS with a degree in Political Science. He entered the Army in 1952 and served in Vietman as a Army Aviator with First Calvary Division as a Helicopter Company Commander and was awarded the Silver Star for valor. Survived by his wife, Joanne (Beatty) of San Antonio formerly of Sunnyside2; daughter, Beth and Bill Saunter of Orlando, FL; twin sons, Steve and Melinda Kinder of Redding, CA; John and Ann Mary Kinder of Honolulu, HI and 5 grandchildren. Brother, Richard Elizabeth Kinder of Gold Canyon, AZ; sister, Kathleen and Paul Campbell of Yakima, WA; three nieces and four nephews. Uncle and Aunt, Hubert and Katie Jordan of Spokane and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by is parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joy Kinder of Granger; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Raman Beatty of Sunnyside and one nephew. Graveside services were held Friday, January 31, 2003 at Fort Sam Houston Military Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. Porter Loring Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
