More detail on this person: Michael L. Klinkbeil Sr. BATAVIA -- Michael L. Klinkbeil Sr., 74, of Batavia died Monday (April 5, 2010) at Buffalo General Hospital. Mr. Klinkbeil was born July 3, 1935, in Le Roy, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Schwoch) Klinkbeil. He was a truck driver at Falcon Transportation in Buffalo. He was a pilot for twenty years with the United States Army. During his time in the service, he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Klinkbeil was a member of the Masons, Elks, VFW, American Legion and the Quiet Birdman. Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline (James) Greene of Rochester; two sons, Wayne (Traci) Klinkbeil of Orlando, Florida and Michael (Theresa) Klinkbeil Jr. of Rochester; grandchildren, Joseph, Jonathan, Tayler, Jordan, Mollie and Matthew; two brothers, Clarence (Helen) Klinkbeil and William (Rachael) Klinkbeil, both of Le Roy and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Klinkbeil; a son James Klinkbeil; a sister and several brothers. Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main St., Batavia, where services will be at 2, also on Thursday. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
