More detail on this person: BERTRAM A. KING Lt. Col. Bertram A. King, died Friday, May 19, 2006, after a battle with lung cancer. He was born July 25, 1935, in Takoma Park, Md. He received degrees of BS, MBA and MPA. He flew more than 300 combat missions and received numerous medals and awards for his military service. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus of Minot, N.D. He was also an original member of the board for "Coming Home," a rehabilitation service for military veterans. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Eileen King, Tucson, Ariz.; four children, James F. King and wife, Tricia, Atwater, Calif., Mary Kathleen von Alvensleben and husband, Busso, Berlin, Germany, Thomas Randolph King and wife, Meg, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patricia A. Burt and husband, Kyle, Adams, Okla.; eight grandchildren; one step grandson; one brother, Thomas F. King, Livonia, Mich.; and one sister, Eleanor A. Baker, Libertytown, Md. * Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Bring's Broadway Chapel at 6910 E. Broadway in Tucson. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research at 1636 N. Swan Road, Tucson, AZ 85711.
