Kline, 71, of Dixon, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at his home. He was an editor for Standard Rate and Data Service. He was born May 23, 1940, in Dixon, the son of Ray and Louise (Wilson) Kline Jr. He had been a helicopter pilot, serving two tours in the Army as a captain during the Vietnam War. Dennis was a graduate of Dixon High School, class of 1958, and received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University. He is survived one sister, Judith (James) Dixon of Dixon; a niece; and two nephews. He was preceded in death his parents. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements were completed Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
