More detail on this person: Lt. Col. Bobby M. Knight TX United States LT. COL. BOBBY M. KNIGHT (US ARMY, RET.) Lt. Col. Bobby M. Knight, of Jacksonville, AL, passed away June 22, 2009, after a long illness. He was 77 years old. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann Watson Knight, and two daughters, Carol Knight Probst (John) of Arvada, Colorado, and Dr. Wanda Knight Bernreuter (Jon) of Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He is also survived by one son, Bobby Knight, Jr., (Debra) of Georgetown, Texas, two sisters, Judy Knight Manners (Scott) of Jacksonville and Carolyn Knight Wood (Clarence) of Lineville, two brothers, Allen Knight (Gayle) of Weaver and Tim Knight (Liz) of Dadeville. His nine grandchildren are Joseph Probst, Melissa Larkin, Suzanne Goode, Mary Beth Probst, Laura Probst, Jon Bernreuter, Jr., Ann Bernreuter, David Knight, and Mary Caitlin Knight. He had five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. LTC Knight was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He served three combat tours in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a decorated helicopter pilot and marksman. He was also retired from the Houston Chronicle. Visitation will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Jacksonville, AL from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th followed by a memorial service and interment in the church cemetery with full military honors, K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family welcomes flowers but memorial gifts may also be made to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
