Kunz, age 80, of Daytona Beach, Florida lost his brave battle with cancer on November 19, 2008 at the home of his daughter surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday December 3, 2008 at the Central Baptist Church, 142 Fairview Ave, Daytona Beach, Florida with the Reverend Sonny Gallman officiating. An Honor Guard Service will immediately follow the service at the church. A Celebration of his Life will be held after the intermittent at the Elks Lodge, 700 South Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach. Mr Kunz retired from the United States Air Force as a Major after serving in the Korean Conflict & the Vietnam War flying more than 5000 hours as an Air Force Command Pilot. Major Kunz was a Past Exalted Ruler, Life Member & Secretary of the Daytona Beach Elks Lodge #1141, & he was a member of the VFW & Moose Lodge, both of Daytona Beach. Ronald enjoyed walking, reading, playing poker & spending time with his devoted family. Most importantly, he looked forward to traveling the world and dancing with his beautiful companion, Marilyn, who are now reunited. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law, Ronda (Jim) Monaghan & Carla Godschalk, all of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; sister, Myrla Peck of Pocatello, Idaho; three grandchildren, Leah & Lori Sullivan & Jennifer Hardie, all of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; three great-grandchildren, Jada, Cayleigh & Tristan, all of Indian Harbour Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his brother & sisters, Jim, Arthel & Nadine. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry-Anna Trust Fund c/o Daytona Beach Elks Lodge, 700 South Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
