More detail on this person: RAPF, Col. Albert H. II, USA, (Ret.) Age 87, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Emerson Hospital following a period of declining health. Mr. Krapf was born in Boston on May 31, 1934 son of the late Henry F. and Elsie (Honeker) Krapf. Mr. Krapf, or "Bud" as he was affectionately known, graduated from Brookline High School as Class President in 1952 and from West Point Military Academy in 1957. As an Army Infantry Ranger, Mr. Krapf retired as Colonel after serving in combat as a helicopter and fixed-winged pilot, serving honorably in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He earned a B.S. at West Point, an M.A.T. from Harvard and C.A.G.S. from Northeastern University. He worked as a computer science teacher and administrator at Brookline High School and in the private sector for Wang and Prime Computer. His hobbies included gardening, bird-watching and building model airplanes with his grandchildren. Bud is survived by his devoted wife, Esther Krapf from Carlisle MA, as well as seven children and many loving grandchildren. Children Helena Giordano and husband, David Giordano from Carlisle MA, Holly Lemieux from Essex Junction VT, Susannah Lavallee from Epping, NH, Elisa Ross and husband Jonathan Ross, from Chicago, IL, Karen Behnia of Epping, NH, Henry Krapf of Cleveland, OH, and Jonathan Krapf of Derry, NH. Also survived by sister, Joyce K. Daley of Brookline, MA and half-brother, John Robinson from Walpole, MA. Relatives and friends will gather for Visiting Hours in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER on Sunday, April 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. Bud's Funeral Service will be held at Carlisle Congregational Church, 147 School Street, Carlisle, MA on Monday, April 4th at 11 a.m. Burial with U.S. Army Military Honors will follow at Green Cemetery, Carlisle.
