More detail on this person: George E. Kellam George E. Kellam, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Matormoras, Pa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Army chief warrant officer and a Vietnam War veteran who served for 20 years and former president of Rancho Las Palmas Homeowners Association. He is survived by his wife, Virgilia V.; four daughters, Linda Mitchell of Portland, Ore., Debra Halvorson of Port Ludlow, Wash., Vicki Westlund of Pasco, Wash., and Sandra Casey of Destin, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements. The family suggests donations to University Medical Center, George Holly, Chaplain Office, 1800 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.
