More detail on this person: Oscar Johnson Longshore Son of Oscar Johnson Longshore and Sarah Frances Carlton. Service in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He loved flying helicopters. The Army was his life. Away from home, it was his closest family. He leaves behind sisters and many nieces and nephews who miss him. He was living with his wife Ellen in Erlangen, Bayern, Germany when he passed. O.J. was much more than a friend; he was my mentor and father figure. While in the Army, O.J. taught me many things, flying, maintenance, safety, being a man, and so much more. When I learned of his departure from this world, I was very saddened as I was looking forward to showing him what his protégée had accomplished. His picture hangs in my office, where it will stay until he and I fly NOE together in heaven. Rest in peace O.J., you are missed! Left by Dr. Michael Dreikorn on 29 Nov 2012

Burial information: Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM
