More detail on this person: Richard Herschel Laird Richard Herschel Laird, 41, passed away on April 11, 1992 at his home in Washington D.C. He was born January 17, 1951. He graduated from Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1969. He served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army, rank CW2 with 82 MED DET 1970-1971, 101 ABN in 1971. He was a VHPA member. He is survived by his parents Herschel and Carole Ann Laird; his son Travis J. Laird; his siblings, Susan Jenkins, Marjorie Givarz and David Laird and wife Linda; and nieces and nephews. Interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, Mississippi.
