More detail on this person: Lawrence Eugene Logsden, 74, passed away Friday morning, December 23, surrounded by his family. Larry was born November 23, 1942 to Celsus and Edna Logsden in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was the fourth of ten siblings. Larry graduated from Klamath Falls High School class of 1960. He enlisted in the United States Army shortly after high school and was stationed in Korea. After re-enlisting he qualified for Warrant Officer Candidate School graduating to become a helicopter pilot. He served two tours in Vietnam, 1967 and 1969, flying Hueys, both slicks and guns. It was during leave from the war for his father's funeral when he met the love of his life, Charlene, they were married shortly after. In 1975 he moved the family, which now included three children Marty, Kris, and Jason, to work for his father-in-law Les Smith at Les's Body Shop. Larry loved to coach kid's sports and coached not only his son but hundreds of Elko and Spring Creek kids on over a dozen teams over the years. He loved to read in his spare time and read literally thousands of books and was a virtual encyclopedia of knowledge. He was the one to ask about any subject before we had google. Most of all he loved family. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren with all his heart. His heart was enormous. He was a rock, always there. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter Kristine Curnow and five siblings Coralee Gray, Glenda Cobb, Leonard Logsden, Michael Logsden, and David Logsden. He is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Charlene, sons; Paul "Marty" Anderson and Jason Logsden (Marcey), siblings; Judy McKune (Ralph), Luanne Fulgham (Lee), Bonnie Neathamer (Richard), and Rhonda Watson (Tom), and seven grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held January 7, 2017 at 1:00pm at Burns Funeral Home. Immediately following we will gather at the Double Dice for a few stories and a toast or two.
