More detail on this person: Alan was my older brother. We believe he died from either a massive stroke or a heart attack while at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. We didn't have an autopsy performed on him.

He was proud of his time in the Army (26 years), proud of being a helo pilot (he always had his Vietnam Helo Assoc sticker in his truck window), but like many other Vietnam Vets, very close lipped about his service "in country". After he retired he got a state job with Texas A&M. He was enroute to give a speech when he had his fatal "attack" in the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. His daughter, Melissa (an Aggie) passed away 3 years after her dad, from brain cancer.

FYI, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Colonel on the ground side and Alan could never convince me to go Army or go rotary wing!
