More detail on this person: Charles "Charly" "Pops" Earle Larkin, 82, of Medford, Oregon passed away February 8, 2013 at his home. He was born February 20, 1930 in Elk Falls, Kansas to Charles A. Larkin and Maxine Earle Jensen. His family moved to Southern California when he was a young boy. He graduated from St. Anthony's Catholic School in Gardena, California then served in the U.S. Army until 1978, attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW04). His military career included Airborne Paratrooper, Army Medic, Helicopter and Fixed-Wing Pilot, and Pilot Instructor. Charles served two tours in Vietnam as a pilot, one. year in Korea, five years in Germany, and many stateside assignments. He was the recipient of many awards and medals including three Purple Hearts. Charly married Alice Maxine Caviness in 1950 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. They were happily married for 62 years and he was a devoted husband and father. Charles enjoyed and loved his family, camping, street rodding, motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and especially enjoyed the outdoors. Pops was the "Patriarch" of our family.

Charles is lovingly remembered by his wife, Alice Maxine Larkin of Medford; daughter, Deborah Earle Larkin of Salem, Oregon; grandson, Shawn Richard Larkin Baldwin of Medford; granddaughter, Danielle Deborah Baldwin-Larkin of Medford; brother, Jack (Shari) Larkin of Santa Monica, California; sister, Maria Gerry) Bridges of Diamond Springs, California; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Larkin; mother, Maxine J. Jensen; father-in-law, Ted Jensen; sister, Janey Hunter; brother, Terry Larkin; brother-in-law, John Hunter; sisters-in-law, Janice Larkin and Diana Larkin; and nephews, Mike Hunter and Steve Hunter.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16,2013 at Perl Funeral Home, 2.:.1.00 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, with Deacon Ron officiating. A viewing will be at 2:00 p.m.
