More detail on this person: As printed on page 127 of the AAAA Aug-Sep 2019 magazine, In Memoriam. It is with great sadness thatt AAAA announces the passing of a member of the Army Aviation Association of America's "The Originals," otherwise know as the Cub Club. Colonel Mose Edward Lewis III, U.S. Army Retired passed away on June 28, 2019. He was 96. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his action in combat in Korea, August of 1950 while serving with the 2nd Infantry Division, he was a AAAA member since 1958. He and his wife, Yeda, were at almost every Annual Summit in recent years. He was a long standing member of the Cub Club, which was conceived in 1962 by AAAA board member, COL Alexander J. Rankin. The "Cub Club" is an organization of 1942 to 1951 Amry Aviators who at one time held the rating of Liaison Pilot. In 2010, the Army Aviation Brnach chief honored this unique collection of serviceman by officially designating them "The Originals" and they were formally recognized at the AAAA Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, April 17th of that year.
