More detail on this person: COL Robert (Bob) Lichtenberger that passed away (yesterday), April 30, 2008 from his battle with CANCER. He was a member of the PURPLE HEART Association and had held the title of National commander in that organization. He served with the ARA, both in Vietnam and state side and was a proud member of the Aerial Rocket Artillery/Blue Max Association. In fact he was the commander of F Btry 79th Arty at Ft Hood, TX and expressed much interest in making sure ALL the history of the ARA/AFA was documented.
