More detail on this person: Gary Long, 68 GARY LONG News Tribune, The (Tacoma, WA) - Sunday, January 13, 2013 WA United States Gary Long Age 68, passed away on Jan. 1st, one year after being diagnosed with leukemia related to his military career as a Cobra pilot in Vietnam. He was able to accomplish many things on his bucket list, including his enthusiasm for hunting and fishing. Anyone in his company for a short while would know his love of storytelling. He is survived by his wife of 36 wonderful years, Julie, his mother Clara Zemlicka, sister Shirley Ainsworth of Albany, Oregon, two children, Gary John Long (Ruth) and Katie Vance (David) of Bonney Lake, and two grandchildren, Morgan Long of Tennessee, and Kannon Vance. Interment will be at 1pm on Thursday, Jan. 17th, 2013 at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. Memorial services at 11am on Friday, Jan. 18th at Calvary Community Church in Sumner, WA, with reception following.
