More detail on this person: Charles E. Leeds Obituaries Fayetteville Observer, The (NC) - Saturday, April 17, 2004 Retired Army Lt. Col. Charles Emery ''Charlie'' Leeds, 77, of Southview Circle, Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Leeds was in the military for 23 years and was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was in the civil service for 18 years before retiring. Mr. Leeds was a deacon at Cedar Falls Baptist Church and a 32nd degree Mason. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Falls Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Floyd Benfield and Dr. James I. Murphy. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. Mr. Leeds is survived by his wife, Frances L. ''Fran'' Leeds of the home; his mother, Juda Leeds of Nashville, Ark.; and a brother, J.E. Leeds Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Falls Baptist Church building fund, 6181 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28311.
