A native of Colquitt County, Mr. Lloyd was born July 6, 1938, the son of Carl and Noni Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the VFW, American Legion, MB Council Lodge # 13 F & AM, APWU and served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010, at 10:00 AM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2010, from 2 PM until 4 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 846 Lane Store Rd., Americus, Ga. 31709 or to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301,Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Lloyd of Leslie, two sons, Carl E. Lloyd, Jr., and Justin Lloyd of Americus; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Cindy Parker of Chattanooga, TN. and Richard and Brandie Parker of Franklin, NC; a daughter, Kim Lloyd of Leslie; a brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Jean Lloyd of Ochlocknee, Ga.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Merlene Frazier of Americus and Cherie and Phil Avery of Ochlocknee; six grandchildren, Crystal and Blade Lloyd, Kaylan Gilliam, Brittany and Brandon Mills and Destiny Parker; eight nieces and nephews, Faye and Claude Frazier, Joan and Jon Johnson, Amy and Travis Hardigree, Jonie and James Rice, Jody Lloyd, James and Summer Lloyd, Heather and Kenneth Morris and Bob Palantino. Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Palantino and a brother-in-law, Wilbur Frazier.
