More detail on this person: Theodore Thomas "Ted" Long, Jr., 50, son of Theodore Thomas Long and Eleanor Hamre, died Oct. 23, 1994 in Bakersfield, Calif. He was married to the former Loralee Johnson in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 1, 1967. They are the parents of six children, Liza, Amy, Ted, Richard, David, and Morgan.Mr. Long, an attorney with Shell Oil in Bakersfield, graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah, Weber State University, and obtained his law degree at Brigham Young University. He was also a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps; served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He completed a two year mission in Australia and served in many ward and stake positions, including bishop of the Pittsburgh 4th Ward. At the time of his death, he was the High Priest Group leader in the Campus Park Ward in Bakersfield. He is survived by his wife and children of Bakersfield, Calif.; a sister, Kay Curtis of Sunset, Utah; brothers, Ken Kinner of Ogden, Utah; Richard Kinner of Reno, Nev.; and Vern Kinner of Detroit, Michigan. Services will be held Friday, October 28, 1994 at the Holmes Creek Stake Center Chapel, 125 Chapel Street, Layton, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 N. Fairfield Rd., Thursday, October 27th, from 6-8 p.m. Friday, one hour prior at the ward. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton with military honors accorded by the VFW.
