LOTTMAN Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 2, 1998 William John Lottman, 64, of Virginia Beach, died June 29, 1998, in a Virginia Beach hospital. Mr. Lottman was born in St. Louis, Mo. He was the son of the late William Joseph Lottman and Melva C. Lottman. He retired as a lieutenant colonel after 23 years of service as a Marine aviator. He was a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Lottman was a member of the Order of the Daedalians, the Marine Corps Aviation Association and the Porsche Club of America. Survivors include his wife, Joan C. Lottman; two daughters, Ruth L. Morgan and her husband, Timothy G. Morgan, of Charlotte, N.C., and Nancy L. Cohen of Virginia Beach; one son, Teak Lottman and his wife, Kathleen A. Lottman, of Virginia Beach; one sister, Shirley L. Ahrens and her husband, Wilbert Ahrens, of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Charles, Daniel, Christopher, Ashley, Jonathan, David, Spencer and Rachel; and two nephews, Thomas W. Ahrens and Gerald W. Ahrens. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Mark Delcuze and the Rev. Peter Hogg. Memorial donations may be made to the Bainbridge Music Fund at Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church or the American Lung or Heart Association. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
