More detail on this person: Walter T Lusk Captain Lusk was a pilot aboard U.S. Air Force EC-135N Looking Glass, s/n 61-0328, operating on a routine training mission out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Approximately 45 minutes into the flight, at 29,000 feet, the jet (a military version of a Boeing 707 airliner), for undetermined reasons, the aircraft's pitch trim moved to the full nose-down position. The sudden loss of pitch control caused catstrophic negative "G" forces and the breakup in flight, resulting in an explosion and crash one mile north of the community of Walkersville, Maryland. All 17 crewmembers and 4 passengers onboard perished.
